1981 - 1983

1981 – April Wine’s best selling record of all time, “The Nature of the Beast” is released. The album was recorded at a studio called Le Manoir in England. One song from the album, “Just Between You and Me” becomes their biggest radio hit in America. The group also films a concert in London, England that is released internationally, entitled “Live at the Hammersmith Odeon”.

1983 – Following the busiest (and most profitable) year ever for April Wine, the band takes most of 1982 off to write and re-charge. They return early in 1983 with “Powerplay”. Meanwhile Aquarius signs a Montreal singer/songwriter named Corey Hart, who records his debut album in London and Manchester.
