1970 - 1971

1970 – Aquarius releases its first album, “Freedom North” which receives some airplay in Eastern Canada for a song called “Doctor Tom”.

1971 – Aquarius releases a band from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia called April Wine. During the recording of their first album it was decided that guitarist Myles Goodwyn should also take over as the lead vocalist. The band’s first single “Fast Train” was the biggest “radio hit” up to that point for Aquarius. The original singer quits and is replaced by Jimmy Clench.
